Research dollars available in Minnesota
Through Conservation Improvement Program, our Minnesota business customers can access funds to study and develop proposals for their unique business operation. Customers may receive up to 50 percent of the cost for applied research or engineering projects. Only studies with a high potential for actual implementation will be funded.
Eligibility
Customer proposals are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Potential for reducing the average demand level and energy used to produce each unit of final product.
- Potential energy efficiencies gained in other related systems due to technological advancements.
- Customer preparedness to implement findings.
- Competitive industry impacts such as a customer avoidance of a competitive crisis or plant shutdown.
