Commercial refrigeration conservation
Commercial refrigeration accounts for 16 percent to 18 percent of commercial energy use in many businesses and up to 50 percent of energy consumption in some grocery stores.
When you install energy-efficient refrigeration equipment you'll save in two ways:
- Lower operating costs
- With up-front rebates to offset the initial investment on certain types of energy-efficient refrigeration equipment
Through our Minnesota Conservation Improvement Program, rebates are available to Minnesota customers who install high-efficiency refrigeration applications such as:
- Compressor systems.
- Condenser systems.
- Subcooling systems.
- Display cases.
- Air circulation systems.
Rebates range from $10 to $50 per horsepower converted or installed and $10 to $20 per lineal foot of display case.
