|
Thermal storage technologies |
A rebate of $20 per kilowatt is available for new thermal storage technologies installed on the deferred-load, time-of-use, or RDC rates (rates 195/197, 301/302, 241) when you install a minimum of 10 kw. A maximum of 500 kw is eligible for a $20 per kw rebate. Load in excess of 500 kw may qualify for a rebate of $10 per kw. Qualified thermal storage systems include thermal storage central furnaces, room units, underfloor cable or panel systems, or electric boilers installed to serve underfloor heating systems. Systems must be capable of storing adequate heat to warm the space during the maximum control period allowed by the rate to qualify. In combined thermal storage/air source heat pump systems this rebate applies only to thermal storage heating load.
