Langdon Wind Energy Center

Langdon Wind Energy Center

Otter Tail Power Company owns 40.5-megawatts of wind-generated electricity from the Langdon Wind Energy Center. Our company also purchases power from FPL Energy, who owns the remainder of the 159-megawatt site.

The entire wind facility was fully operational January 12, 2008.

North Dakota Wind II

Currently, about two percent of Otter Tail Power Company's electricity comes from emission-free, renewable wind power purchased from the North Dakota Wind II project.

FPL Energy of Juno Beach, Florida owns and operates the wind farm, which began operating in 2003.
